Email Templates & the Rich Editor
Under Communicate → Email Templates, build reusable emails for registrations, reminders, and announcements.
Rich editor
Templates use the same WYSIWYG editor as the announcement composer — formatting, lists, links, and headings — instead of plain text.
Start from a template
When creating a new template, use "Start from a template" to pre-fill the subject and body from a starter set:
- Registration confirmation, approval/denial, waitlist, reminders, thank-you
- Marketing starters: Announcement and Last Chance / Final Call
Everything is editable after you insert it.
Merge variables
Insert {{attendee_name}}, {{event_title}}, {{event_date}}, {{event_time}}, {{event_venue}}, {{ticket_type}} and more — they're filled in per recipient at send time.
Test send & auto-send
- Test Send emails the template to yourself so you can see the real result.
- Toggle Active and Send automatically to use a template for automated lifecycle emails.
Note: Existing plain-text templates are automatically converted to formatted content when you open them.
