Contextual Help & Guides System
Planadar features a platform-wide Contextual Help and Guides system. This system allows all users (Organizers, Attendees, Speakers, Sponsors, and Admins) to access relevant documentation and guidance directly on their active page without redirecting away or interrupting their workflows.
How to Access Help
- Floating Help Button: A circular button labeled "Help" (with a question mark icon) is visible in the bottom-right corner of all non-public pages.
- Responsive Layout: On mobile viewports, the button is positioned to avoid overlapping critical menu actions.
Context-Aware Guides
When you click the "Help" button, a slide-over drawer panel opens from the right side of the screen:
- Dynamic Matching: The drawer automatically loads a guide tailored specifically to the page or tab you are currently viewing. For example, if you open it on the Ticket Pricing & Tiers page, it will display the detailed Ticket Classes & Tiers guide.
- Dynamic Overrides: Administrators can update these guides in real-time. The widget automatically pulls from the database for custom notes, falling back to local documentation if offline or unconfigured.
Inside the Help Drawer
- Rich Text & Formatting: Guides support lists, code snippets, and callout boxes.
- Help Center Search: The top of the drawer contains a search field. You can search for any topic across the entire Planadar Knowledgebase. Matching articles will appear inside the drawer so you can read them in-place.
- Quick Links: If you need to view a full page or share an article, click the "Visit Help Center" link at the bottom to open it in a new tab.
- Was This Helpful Tracker: Let us know if the contextual guide answered your questions by clicking Yes or No at the bottom of the drawer.
