Transferring Tickets (Assign & Claim)
If you purchased tickets on behalf of a group or can no longer attend an event, Planadar allows you to transfer individual ticket seats to other attendees.
How to Transfer a Ticket
- Go to My Profile and select the Tickets tab.
- Locate your order under "Ticket History". Multi-ticket orders will expand to display each seat individually.
- Click the Transfer button next to the specific seat you wish to transfer.
- Enter the recipient's email address and confirm.
Security and Validation
- QR Code Invalidation: As soon as a transfer is initiated, the original ticket's QR code is permanently invalidated. Even if you have the old PDF or email, it will fail at check-in.
- RLS Boundary: The registration's ownership is securely reassigned to the recipient. The original buyer can still see that they purchased the seat, but can no longer download its QR code or manage its transfer.
How to Claim a Transferred Ticket
- The recipient receives a branded Ticket Transfer Invitation email.
- Click the link in the email to claim the ticket.
- If the recipient has an account: Log in to claim. The ticket will instantly appear in their Ticket wallet.
- If the recipient is new: They will be prompted to set a password to activate their auto-created lightweight account and access their ticket wallet.
