Teams: Create, Join and Compete

What a team is

A team is a group of Planadar accounts that compete together on the Team Leaderboard. A team's score is the total points of its members (see "Understanding Team Leaderboards"). A team belongs to you and your teammates, not to an event: there is no team ticket and no team registration, so each person registers for an event on their own.

Create a team

1. Go to Dashboard → Teams.
2. Click Create Team.
3. Enter a Team Name. A description and a company or organization are optional.
4. Click Create Team. You become the team's Admin and the team appears under My Teams.

Join a team

Teams are open: there are no invitations and no approval step.

1. Go to Dashboard → Teams and find the team under All Teams.
2. Click Join Team. You join as a regular member and the team moves to My Teams.

Nobody can add you to a team, and nobody can join as an Admin. If you are already in the team, Planadar says so.

See who is on a team

Under My Teams, click View Members. Only a team's own members can see who is in it. Each person appears by first name and last initial, or by full name when they show themselves on leaderboards, and the team's Admin has an Admin badge. Email addresses and companies are not shown.

Leave a team or remove someone

• Leave: under My Teams, click the leave icon beside the team and confirm. Your points stop counting toward that team's score straight away. The points stay yours.
• Remove a member: the team's Admin can click the trash icon beside a member in View Members. Members cannot remove each other.

Team Leaderboard

On Dashboard → Teams, the Team Leaderboard shows each team's rank, total points (the sum of its members' points), number of members and average points per member. Members who hide themselves from leaderboards do not count.

Pro Tip: Create a team with colleagues from your company and ask them to join from All Teams.
