Joining a Ticket Waitlist

Only available when the organizer has turned it on. Not every sold-out tier offers a waitlist — if you just see "Sold Out" with no waitlist option, the organizer hasn't enabled it for that event.

If a ticket tier is sold out and waitlisting is on, you'll see a Join Waitlist button in place of the usual purchase button on that tier.

Joining

  1. Click Join Waitlist on the sold-out tier.
  2. If you're signed in, you're added immediately — no form needed.
  3. If you're not signed in, you'll be asked for your name and email first (this also creates a lightweight account for you, the same as buying a ticket as a guest).
  4. You'll get a confirmation email and see On Waitlist · Position #N on the ticket card.

If a Spot Opens Up

Most events promote people automatically, in position order, the moment a ticket for that tier is cancelled or refunded — some organizers prefer to review the waitlist and promote by hand instead, so timing can vary by event. Either way, once you're promoted you get an email and an in-app notification, and your ticket card switches from the position badge to a normal purchase button for that tier.

The spot isn't held for you — it's first-come-first-served, the same as most ticketing platforms' waitlists. If you don't complete your purchase reasonably quickly, someone else (or the next person on the waitlist) may get it instead, so don't wait once you're notified.

Leaving the Waitlist

Click Leave Waitlist on the ticket card at any time — you're removed immediately and can rejoin later if the tier is still sold out.

Note: Waitlist position only applies to that specific ticket tier — other tiers on the same event that still have availability can be purchased normally.
