Stream Analytics & Reporting Guide

Stream Analytics shows how people watched your live streams, from what Planadar recorded as they watched.

Where to find it

Organizer Admin → Stream Analytics. Use the selector at the top right to pick All Streams or one stream. Every figure and chart on the page follows that choice.

The figures at the top

• Unique Viewers: how many different people joined.
• Peak Viewers: the most people watching at the same moment, counted from when each person joined and left.
• Chat Messages and Questions Asked: counted from the stream's chat and its Q&A.
• Avg Watch Time: the average number of minutes a viewer stayed, from when each person joined and left.
• Live Now: how many of the streams are live right now.

Viewer Timeline

How many people were watching at the same time, across the stream. Each point counts the viewers who had joined and not yet left at that moment, so it is drawn only from real join and leave times. A viewer whose leave was never recorded counts until the stream ended (or until now, while it is live). If nobody has watched yet, the card says so instead of drawing a line.

Device Breakdown

Which kinds of device viewers joined from, such as desktop or mobile. A viewer whose device was not reported shows as Unknown.

Stream Comparison and Stream Performance

Side-by-side bars and a list with each stream's viewers, chat messages, questions and peak.

Good to know

• Each person has one record per stream, so someone who leaves and comes back counts from their latest join.
• Viewers are recorded when someone watches on your event page in Planadar. If the same stream also plays somewhere else, such as on YouTube, those viewers are not included.
• This page has no export, no scheduled reports and no location data.
• Reviewing it soon after a stream, while you remember it, makes it easier to see what worked.
