AI Attendance Forecasting
Wondering how many people will actually show up? On the event console Dashboard, the Attendance forecast card projects two things for any upcoming event:
- Projected final registrations — how many people will have registered by the event date.
- Expected attendance — how many of those registrants will actually turn up.
How to use it
- Open your event's console → Dashboard.
- Find the Attendance forecast card and click Forecast (or Refresh to recalculate).
- Review the projection, then act on the recommendation.
The forecast runs on demand — it's never generated automatically — so you get an up-to-the-moment read whenever you ask for one.
How the numbers are calculated
The figures are computed from your real data, not guessed:
- Projected registrations extrapolates your recent registration pace (roughly the last two weeks) across the days remaining before the event, and never exceeds your capacity.
- Expected attendance multiplies the projection by your show rate — the share of registrants who actually check in. This comes from your own past events (checked-in ÷ registered). Until you've run events with check-ins, it uses a sensible category default (paid events typically show up at a higher rate than free ones), clearly labeled as a default.
- Confidence (low / medium / high) reflects how much data the forecast is based on — more registrations and more event history mean higher confidence.
A short AI read interprets the pace versus the projection and suggests one concrete next step (for example, a marketing push when you're pacing behind, or opening capacity when you're ahead). The AI only explains the numbers — it never changes them.
Tips
- Run more events with check-in enabled — your show rate (and forecast accuracy) sharpens with each one.
- A "low" confidence forecast early on is normal; re-run it as registrations build.
- Forecasting is for upcoming events only; it disappears once an event has started.
